'cause you can't get away from those rhymes you just can't get away from those rhymes:
There once was a boy who loved beautiful gems like amethysts, rubies and such he held them with care and affection was there and they brought him delight and good luck
Then one day that ruby became very strange and turned into a blinding-hued moth hiding behind that bright light was a change like elegance wrapped in torn cloth
And standing alone he stood looking confused with a little-boy smile on his face was it nothing or had she been somehow abused at any rate he lost his way
Sometimes his eyes will transform what he sees distorting awareness with fear and sometimes that ruby floats off on a breeze just far enough so she can't hear
Hey ruby will you come back out and show yourself to him? again you'll shine and both feel fine you know he never tried to win
Yeah, sometimes it's really difficult adjusting your feelings to verbalization and trying to make things understood when you fall into awkward situations and you want to reach out there but you're reaching for something instead of just letting things happen and your words, well they're not just lines you can speak for yourself it's just hard getting away from all of those rhymes it's hard getting away from those rhymes

Ruby
Sometimes it's really difficult adjusting your feelings to verbalization and trying to make things understood while they rehearse all their rationalizations your remarks and quotations fall on the surface of places not getting attention and your words, well they're just lines you can't speak for yourself
