Outside my window there's something going

so many people and some are showing

how they live their lives

in silhouettes

what they do at night

just to forget

I know what you do while you're standing there

just out of reach in that room over there

you're trying to please 'em all

trying to please yourself

looks like no one calls

so you're up on that shelf
