the city races by sirens wail and traffic stalls in some rush of crazy time but in slow motion the dolphins swim bathed in shining sun that sun is diamonds on their skin their discovery is youthful fun

Miles up over NASA men are tethered there in space above the earth they swim in air they are somewhat the same like those children in the swimming pool in a moment of transcendence outside of traffic and business schools on a threshold of innocence

In the summer the children swim at the outdoor public pool the sun is diamonds on their skin they play like fish in schools underwater in slow motion like dolphins in the sea the pool is their tiny ocean their laughter rises free
Outside the water beyond the walls
