Now the clouds go sweeping by and the heat begins to chill the sand beneath my feet is dry Old Summer's dying so slowly sails of boats breath deep and sigh they wait to catch another fill to take them home on a silent ride in the inconsistent blowing
Once again the ball is passed once again I run away singing soft and running fast at a speed that just won't last
Now with joy and sorrow blown like clouds across our lives I wonder where this searching soul will find its rest tonight so I looked for you and I walked back home away from jetties boats and tides the evening wind was blowing cold so I'll look another time
Yes once again the ball is passed and once again we run away singing soft and running fast at a speed that just won't last
It's a different kind of day between the sunshine and the rain different like our lives have been since we began this time since we began again this time

Different Once Again
It's a different kind of day between the sunshine and the rain different like our lives have been since we began this time the clouds brought showers on the bay the wind brought light that dried the rain light that changed yet once again cleansing soul and mind
Once again the ball is passed once again you run away singing soft and running fast at a speed that just won't last
